Client: Arup Location: London Exhibition curator: Jennifer Greitschus, Head of Exhibitions, Arup Exhibition design: Nick Westby and Vlad Tenu Graphic design: Weidner Studios
The rapid development of digital technologies over the past decade has resulted in an explosion of initiatives by designers that are challenging established fabrication procedures. Communities have emerged based on collaboration and continuous learning. While Arup devised new geometries for the diagrid roof of Kings Cross Station’s Western Concourse (2012) and is currently embarking on data-driven engineering and the use of robots, this exhibition showcased examples of innovation on a smaller scale in the fields of architecture, engineering, interior design, fashion and art.
